“If I Could Be a Whale Shark” Collage

The goal of this project was to translate the imagery and emotion of a chosen poem into a visual collage. Working with “If I Could Be a Whale Shark” by Aimee Nezhukumatathil, I focused on capturing the poem’s sense of scale, movement, and wonder through layered imagery and symbolic elements. The challenge was to interpret the poem’s tone and themes in a way that felt visually cohesive while still honoring its imaginative voice.
